I am a passionate research and development engineer specializing in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, 3D Perception for Robotics. With a strong foundation in Automation, Robotics, and AI-driven perception systems, I have experience developing cutting-edge solutions for logistics and bin-picking applications.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) in 2020, where I defended my thesis, "Design of an Electromagnetic Gripper for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles," at the Multi-Robot Systems group under Dr. Martin Saska. I then pursued a Master’s degree in Automation and Robotics at Technische Universität Dortmund, completing my thesis, "A Monocular Vision Architecture for Fill Estimation in Shipping Containers," with the Robotics and Cognitive Systems team at Fraunhofer IML in collaboration with DB Schenker Enterprise Lab.
My research interests span Multi-Modal Perception, Neuromorphic Systems, Mobile Robotics, AR/VR Technologies, and Edge Computing. I am particularly interested in leveraging AI and perception systems to enhance robotic autonomy and real-world decision-making.
I thrive on adventure and the great outdoors—whether it’s backpacking through the wilderness, camping under the stars, or immersing myself in the ocean. I’m a hobby surfer and a PADI-certified SCUBA open-water diver, always seeking new experiences.
Beyond the outdoors, I have a deep appreciation for strategy and calculated risks, which led me to become an avid poker player since my school days. Creativity is another passion of mine—I enjoy painting and shooting film photography, capturing moments in a timeless, analog way.
On rainy days, you'll likely find me experimenting in the kitchen, listening to 80s rock classics, or reading a sci-fi novel.
